Modern technology has revolutionized both the creative and
technical aspects of the music industry. With today's electronics,
music can be composed, performed and recorded on state-of-the-art
equipment that is easily available and cost-effective.
While these advances present new opportunities, they also present
challenges. To compete effectively in today's music world, an
artist must possess a strong traditional music background, plus
the technical expertise required to make the most of rapidly
improving technology.
The Duquesne University School of Music can help you meet this
challenge through its Bachelor and Master of
Music Technology degrees. These unique programs “bridge
the gap" between musical and technological training by combining
a traditional music education with hands-on training and theoretical
understanding of recording arts and sciences and music technology.
